Bruins win vs. Blues, and I’m going home
Well, the B’s seem to have awakened from their Mid-Winter slumber. At least long enough to knock off some dust and drop one on one of the NHL’s best teams through the middle third of the 2011-2012 season. The Blues, were kickin’ a 21 game home regulation time win streak coming into Wednesday night’s game. The B’s looked dangerous for most of the 1st period, but the Blues didn’t let shit slide either. It was 3-2 B’s after the 1′s period. Marshy, Looch and Kell’s were on the board. Some great hard-work goals and Timmay got his bead on the puck after the second goal and shut the door in the 2nd and 3rd periods. The “L’il Ball ‘O Hate” dropped a sweet break-away 5-hold back-hander on Elliot with a sweet feed from the deft hands of Segsie and the hard work of Berg’s to get him the puck. All-around nice touch to put the cap on a strong effort all-around. I like the way the B’s battled and I LIKE the way Timmay looked for the last 2 periods. A really solid win against a Cup Contender. Bring on the Buffalo Wings….
L’il Ball ‘O Hate puts the B’s on top!
On another note… I am heading back up North. First, a stop in Sterling, VA to visit my Sister this weekend. My Brother Andy and I are flying into Dulles to hang with my Sis Elysa. She is selling some of her hand-spun yarn and such at a “trunk show” this weekend and we wanted to get a chance to help her with setting up and manning her booth. Been a year since I last hung with her and my Bro. Can’t wait to see them both!
Then, I’m heading further North, back to the friendly confines of Barrington, RI with my Bro. I’ll spend the better part of 5 days up there and get to RELAX a bit and see my Mom, Dad and Nieces for a spell. Really looking forward to some good “hang-time” with my Bro as well as Mom & Dad (Nanna & Grandpa). Weather ought to be decent too. Sweet.
Bruins extend the gut-wrenching pain…
Hard to imaging the Bruins possess the ability to tank when playing the dregs of the NHL, but apparently, I was wrong. Julien needs to put some foot-to-ass and do it damn quickly before the wheels come off the wagon. I’m all about having a loss now and again to stay humble, but this shit is getting tiresome. The Hurricanes. The Sabres? There is no GODDAMN excuse to lose to the likes of Buffalo. NONE! Certainly no friggin way you get OUTWORKED & OUTPLAYED by these pukes!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, what the hell? Time to snap the hell out of it. If I were Claude, I would dedicate the next practice to fitness. No pucks. No screwing around. Burn your lungs till you puke… Then take out some anger on the next punks you face.
How NOT to defend: 101
On another note… Bruins won
The weekend was not COMPLETELY lost, however. The B’s but some hurt on the slouching Caps. Always fun to beat the Ovenchicken. Good to see the boys get a lead early an then add to it. I liked the overall effort. Looch showed some heart – played an excellent game. As did the rest of his line. The Bergie line did well too. All of those guys were like friggin swarming bees. Fun stuff to watch! The only minor downer was the crap when we allowed Timmay’s shutout to go bye-bye. They really need to be more aware in situations with a minute or a couple minutes left in the period or game and be more animalistic about defending in those tight situations. Sure it was a banked goal off of Seidenburg’s skate, but no way that should have happened.
Well that sucked.
Yeah. That realllllly sucked. Pats had a couple chances in the last 4 minutes to seal the game and didn’t. This one will hurt for a long time….
SuperBowl XLVI – Almost that time…
Damn. Well, it’s almost that time once again. Tomorrow brings us SuperBowl XLVI. Never in my wildest dreams as a kid, would I have ever expected the Patriots be be anything more than the the perennial runts of the NFL. That was a long time ago. It’s 2012 and in the last decade, the Patriots have played in 4 SuperBowls and won three of them. This will be their Fifth climb to the top of the heap for the chance to be crowned King of the NFL.
Things look good for the Pats. They boys look loose and confident.
TFB#12 is on a mission. As are the rest of the offensive Juggernauts. Yes, I said “Juggernauts”. See what I did there? With some luck and some GREAT defensive play, I feel the Pats can win tomorrow and win BIG! I feel it… Let’s go boys. Let’s go and show the Giants how the game of Football is played!
My first post. Screw Godaddy…
Well, it’s done. Finally moved my site from Godaddy. I had enough of their crappy service and endless phishing to get more of my $$. From now on, Hover.com has all of my domains & I will host them with Dreamhost. I feel cleaner already…
